It is hard to beleive, but this will be our 50th year serving Central Indiana’s plumbing, heating and air conditioning needs. We are also proud to say that after 50 years we are still Family / Locally Owned. We would like to thank our customers for making this possible and we look forward to serving you and your families for at least the next 50 years.
Spring is the best time to tune up you air conditioner. A little maintenance in the beginning of the air conditioning seasons can prevent small problems from becoming expensive problems later on. Our technicians can catch small issues and can ensure your a/c is running at optimal efficiency.
All equipment, even the most reliable, needs routine maintenance. Complicated equipment like today’s air conditioners benefit in many ways from annual service. They recover much of their lost efficiency, they are less likely to suffer a major break down, they have a longer life span, they increase your comfort, and they operate for less money.
Even if you have recently replaced your HVAC equipment, you will need to maintain your system in order to keep your extended warranty in effect.
Energy Star recommends annual maintenance on your HVAC equipment: http://www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?c=heat_cool.pr_hvac
Also from the Energy Star website:
As you can see, limited air flow and improper refrigerant charge can reduce the efficiency of you air conditioning equipment up to 15%.
The easiest way to schedule your Air Conditioning Tune Up is to click http://bplusw.com/NeedService.html and save $10.00 for scheduling online.

What is the best name brand do you recommend for a heatpump
system and the price?
Renita
Renita,
Thank you for contacting us. We handle the American Standard brand for the reliability and durability through the hot Summer months and frigid Winters. All of our furnaces, air conditioners & heatpump systems come with a 10-year parts and labor warranty. There is currently a state rebate on hi-eff heatpump systems of $500.00 as well as federal tax credits up to $1500.00 & a state tax credit of up to $100.00. This is a great time to purchase a heatpump system.
Sizing your system is very important for proper operation. I will need more information from you to give a proper price such as square footage of your home, window & insulation conditions, size of existing system & ductwork. We can also come to your home at no charge to you to do a survey & provide you with a proposal. Please call me with any questions at 243-3581.
Thank you,
Dave Mejean

Recently, we have gone to several customers’ homes where their HVAC system has failed or quit working and found one thing in common with all of them: They all installed Vent Filters/Fresheners in all of their registers.
We recommend not using these Vent Filters. Your furnace filter protects your furnace and filters the air circulating through your home. This does not mean remove your furnace filter. More than likely, the Heating and Air Conditioning system in your home was not designed for the use of Vent Filters. Using Vent Filters could ‘choke’ your HVAC system. This will make it difficult for the blower to ‘push’ the air through the system, causing undo stress.
Remember, your Heating and Air Conditioning system needs to breathe. Change your furnace filters monthly. If you want increased filtration, we can install a Filter Media Box or an AccuClean Electronic Air Cleaner for your HVAC system.
From the State of Indiana website:
“As of January 1, 2009 the State of Indiana is providing a state income tax credit when certain EnergyStar rated equipment is purchased by a homeowner or small business owner. The credit, worth as much as $100 can be used when purchasing a furnace, a water heater, central air conditioning, room air conditioner or a programmable thermostat. Homeowners and small business owners can claim the credit on their state income tax return.”
